I am F, 28 years old, a Tajik woman from Kabul. My husband was a police officer in the former Afghan government who worked with NATO. After the fall of the government, my husband tried to evacuate our family through Kabul Airport, but we could not leave.
Because of his former police service and the risks in Kabul, we moved. Due to severe financial difficulties, my husband went to Iran in June 2024 to find work and support my medical treatment. In July 2024, I was receiving medical care for a long-term condition and regularly visiting a government hospital. One day, after leaving the hospital, a Taliban vehicle stopped me, claiming that they had come from the hospital to pay for my treatment because my husband was abroad.
A woman wearing a doctor's uniform was also in the vehicle.
During the journey, a Taliban commander told me that he could make me pregnant and demanded that I have a sexual relationship with him. When I refused and tried to leave, the woman covered my mouth and choked me, I passed out.
I woke up in a house where my clothes had been changed. I was held there for approximately 45 days, during which the Taliban commander repeatedly sexually assaulted me and forced me to dance afterward.
Eventually, he offered to release me if I agreed to return to him twice a week for sexual purposes. He threatened to kill me and publicly release videos of the assaults if I refused. I
accepted the condition in order to escape.
After returning home, I received medical treatment for my injuries. Through local contacts, I reached an assisting team and was transferred to Kabul, where I began treatment with your organization and am now in a safe place.
I am grateful to the people who protected me and helped me survive this ordeal.
