 STATEMENT:

After the fall of our government, when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, and the flights were at Kabul Airport, we could not enter the airport for evacuation.

We had to go to one of the provinces of Afghanistan so that no one would have information about my husband.

We were in the center of Badakhshan Province and rented a house.

My husband went to work every day and life was difficult for us.

The Taliban started house-to-house searching and checked all the people of the village with a biometric device.

My husband ran away from home and went to Iran through smuggling at the beginning of 2022 and was working in Iran for a long time.

Unfortunately, when there was a lot of pressure on the immigrants, my husband was arrested by the Iranian police and deported from Iran.

When my husband came back to Afghanistan, we moved our house to one of the districts of Badakhshan, where my sister's house was, and we got a rented house next to my sister's house. There my husband started selling at the fruit market.

On November 26, 2023, we were guests at my sister's house and my children were busy playing with my nieces. My husband came home from work and said he is going home to rest, he is tired from a long work day.

After 1 hour, I could hear noise outside and I looked out, and saw that the Taliban entered our house.

I hurried to our house.

The Taliban surrounded the entire house and entered the house. The taliban said that according to our sources, this man was working with the Americans, he worked hard for the security of Americans and to save the lives of Americans and NATO.

He said to my husband with a sarcastic tone, "where are your bosses, where is NATO, where is America now? Who is saving you?"

I could see fear and tears in my husband's eyes.

One of them tied my husband's hands and feet tightly.

One of the Taliban had a video camera in his hand and was recording it all.

When he approached me, my husband shouted, he said "you are human, please don't hurt my wife".

Unfortunately, this Taliban commander tore my clothes off and raped me in front of my husband. My husband was screaming, "God curse you, if you free my hands, I will send you all to hell."

This is very hard for me to remember.

This commander shot my husband in the head, in front of me.

I passed out.

When I opened my eyes, I was in a room.

In that room, this Taliban commander raped me and allowed his men to rape me as well.

After 5 days, the taliban brought me home with the cooperation and guarantee of Mullah Imam of the mosque.

Imagine and try to be in my situation for a few moments, how will you bear it, when your husband is killed in front of your eyes and they rape you.

If you imagine yourself as my husband, how will you bear it, his hands and feet are tied and his wife is raped in front of his eyes.

This is the reward of my husband's efforts, this is the result of service to the Americans, and this is the result of my husband's service.

This is the result of our being Tajik, this is the result of speaking Persian/Dari.

The taliban got a guarantee from the Mullah Imam that this matter will be kept secret, and if we tell anyone about what happened, they will kill Mullah Imam and all my daughters.

I was in Mullah Imam's house for 15 days and my children were hiding in another place.

Fortunately, my sister was able to transfer my daughters to Kabul with the cooperation of Mullah Imam of the mosque.

I also moved to Kabul with the help of Mullah Imam of the mosque.

When we arrived in Kabul, my treatment started and now fortunately my treatment is going well.

And my children are safe at the home, food and warm clothes and everything is provided for us.

I am very grateful to you and your team for helping me through this terrible situation and saving our lives.
