BIBI HALIMA, Survivor Statement

My name is Bibi Halima.
I am 26 years old, Tajik from the north province of Afghanistan. I have 3 children.
In 2017, my husband was a government employee and one day, he went to work, unfortunately a suicide attack explosion happened in Kabul, and I lost my husband.
From 2017 up to 15-Aug-2021, I worked at a non-profit organization. When Taliban took control of Afghanistan, I lost my job and was jobless for a few months.
It was hard for me to care for three children without my husband in Afghanistan. I started cleaning and went to people's home for cleaning, cooking, and caring for their children. They would paid 3 up to 5 USD$ per day. I worked 5 or 6 days per week.

In December 2022, I worked in the home of a high-ranking Taliban. Several times, he told me to marry him. I told him, please don't bother me. I don't want to get married.
I left this home and found another home for work and after a few days, in January 2023, that taliban man - who I stopped working for - came to my home and told me, "You stole my wife's gold. I want to put you in jail."
I cried, I told him I don't know about your wife's gold.
He said "I need to go to his home and talk with his wife."
The next day, I went to his home but, he was alone with his two bodyguards, and he told me if I don't have sex with him, he will put me in jail. I ran out of the room but his bodyguard and his security guard grabbed me. All three started to rape me.
For several hours, they raped me multiple times. At some point, I passed out. When I woke up later, they started again for several hours.
I passed out again and later, when I woke up, the senior taliban man said he would kill me if I spoke about this.
He then brought in a doctor to his home and the doctor gave me some medicine and his driver then dropped me off at my home.
Two days I was gone, my children were so scared.
