Jowzjan Province

The OCIG team has been actively working in the Jowzjan province since late Spring 2025. 

We have provided numerous small events for women across multiple villages. These women-only events have provided the women with free prenatal medications, free sanitary pads, free baby food, and prenatal ultrasound exams. Our team of female doctors also provided free medical screenings and provided medication to include antibiotics. 

October 2025, we are undergoing a significant project to treat women and children who are infected with the sand-fly parasite. We have been told by the Imam than women and kids are dying daily to this potentially fatal infection. We secured the medications from Pakistan and are in the process now to provide care.
